Butterfly Conservatory

Brief Site Description: Six large atrium habitats provide representation of the plants, trees, butterflies, and frogs that live within the four micro-climates surrounding Lake Arenal (on-site volunteer program available). This is the largest butterfly exhibition in Costa Rica, with over 1000 butterflies of the Arenal area flying in their natural habitats. Also contains 10 acres of botanical gardens and nature walks.

Brief Site Description: We have an area close to 200 square meters consisting of small walkways that allow us to enjoy the butterflies flying or stationary on plants surrounding these roads.

Neo Fauna’s Butterfly Garden

Brief Site Description: The butterfly (and frog farms) are more than 6600 square feet which makes them the largest butterfly farm in the Central Pacific. Not only you will see butterflies, but you will be able to see them in their full cycle of life (seeing many larva stages and cocoons from most of our species).
